Chilington Village Hall is a one storey building consisting of one large main area approximately 40 x 18 feet with a small kitchen off with fridge, microwave and a good stock of china and cutlery. There is a serving hatch to enable food and drink to be passed through to the main hall. A store cupboard where tables and chairs are stacked is off the main room. The hall is currently used on a regular basis by fortnightly Youth Club, weekly Yoga and exercise classes, Stokenham Art Club and Rainbows. We also have frequent bookings for childrens' parties. The hall lies on the edge of a large playing field with floodlights enabling local football teams to use our field during the winter months for practice. There is also a play area with swings, roundabout, slide and climbing equipment. This is currently maintained by South Hams District Council. This extends the appeal of the hall as it means that in fine weather, children can enjoy playing outside in safety.

Hall availability is always open to negotiation. Please do not assume this hall cannot be used on days where activities are indicated here. Community services available at this Hall:  

On the A379 from Kingsbridge, just as you enter the village through "the narrows", there is a right hand turn at an old stone building. This is Tanpits Lane. A short distance on, the road forks. Take the left fork and approximately 100 yds on the left (opposite Tanpits Cottage) is a sharp left turn into the parking area.

£5 per hour plus a £5 deposit taken. This is refunded if the hall is left in good condition.
