Description

Set in green surroundings on the edge of Totnes, the Hall is centrally located for South Devon activities,  mid-way between Plymouth and Torbay.  The Hall is owned by the local residents and run on their behalf by the Follaton Residents Association. As such, it is kept in excellent condition and offers facilities for small-to-medium size activities and events at competitive rates.  There is very good access by car, free parking, and local bus services (Totnes Community Bus and Devon Country Bus).  

With its large car park, complemented by outdoor seating, play area and grassed activity space the hall offers a pleasant and convenient venue. The main hall has disabled access along with a disabled toilet and a baby changing facility. There is a large, fully equipped, kitchen and fold up tables, and chairs, for up to 75 people. The hall has mirrors on one wall, an excellent PA/audio system and ancillary heating, if required. The hall attracts a wide range of hirers and current uses include:-
    Tap dancing classes; 
    Health and fitness classes:- Tai Chi; BodyStretch (Chinese Yoga); Chinese Boxercise; Aerobics & Kettlercise; Zumba classes;  Adult's (Shaolin & "Hand of the Wind") Kung Fu ; Children's "Dragons" Kung Fu & sports training.
     Drama, arts and education activities;  
     Children’s parties;  and social events and meetings.  
There is also a Community Cinema which shows films on the last Friday evening of each month.  

The booking system is responsive and flexible. Rates are varied depending on the nature of the booking and length of time for hire.

Directions

Situated in Follaton Estate on the west side of Totnes, the hall has very easy access.  The nearest landmark is Follaton House -  the South Hams District Council Offices.

Approaching from Totnes, take the Plymouth Road from its junction (at traffic lights) with the A381 Totnes-Kingsbridge road. Hire Charges

Rates vary from £8 to £11 per hour according to number & type of booking & FRA membership. Whole day and half day rates are also available. Commercial users please enquire for a quote.
