Welcome to the Access and Awareness section of the site.
Funded by the National Lottery, this website has been developed as part of the Community Council of Devon’s Access and Awareness Community Building’s project.
The project was set up to raise awareness of accessibility in halls in the Devon area and to promote the benefits and facilities the halls have to offer.
This section of the site contains useful information about what an accessible hall is, how to carry out an access audit plus a range of information about disability and how to provide a more inclusive hall experience for visitors. There is a useful case study section and a useful contacts page.
The results of the project are due to be published in a report which will be available here soon. An executive summary of the findings will also be available.
