Drawing on the Community Councils of Devon experience of working with village halls and community buildings, it was clear that they benefit greatly from opportunities for mutual support. It was recognised that there is a clear desire for a strong collective voice. The Devon Association of Community Buildings was launched in May 2007, it is now an independent organisation working with and on behalf of Devon communities, to maintain and support its community buildings.
