The Court Room has medieval roots and was a full ecclesiastical court during the middle ages, hence it's name. There is a large main hall which is equipped with tables and chairs if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size oven and a microwave, a water boiler and sink. It complies with Environmental Heath requirements and has a full fire certificate There is access for those with limited mobility, but due to the age and site of the building (it was a full Ecclesiastical Court in medieval times) it is not wheelchair accessible at the present time. The Court Room is licensed for entertainment during the following times: Monday to Friday 08.00 to midnight Saturday 08.00 to 23.45 Sunday 08.00 to 23.30 The hall is licensed to hold 120 people, or 80 if seated as an audience, making it ideal for parties, keep-fit classes, dances and the like. The village also has a sports Pavilion which, in addition to changing rooms, has a meeting room/kitchen which will hold 20 people. The Pavilion is fully wheelchair accessible and there is ample parking on the site, which also has a children's playground and a sports field and a tennis court. The field ans the court are also available for hire. The Pavilion and the field have been very successfully used for weddings. It is a beautiful setting, looking over to Dartington woods. The cost of hire is the same as for the Court Room (except for weddings - please enquire for prices). Enquiries can be made though Mrs Fradl - details below.

Enter the village of Staverton and arrive at the Sea Trout Inn. By the Sea Trout is a crossroads. Follow the sign to the Church and the Court Room is a few yards down the road, opposite the public toilets. Users of the Court Room are asked to park considerately, without causing an obstruction to other road users and allowing access for emergency vehicles. For the Pavilion, from Staverton Bridge/Station, follow sign to Staverton. About a quarter of a mile from the bridge, you will see the entrance to the Playing Field car park on your right.
