THE UMBORNE HALL HAS RECENTLY BEEN RE-BUILT AND WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED ON 16 October 2010. The brand new hall is a lovely timber building nestling in the beautiful Umborne Valley with far reaching views of rolling Devon countryside. It has a main hall, kitchen, 3 toilets - disabled+gents+ladies. Car parking is in two areas - the main carpark is across the stream from the hall, accessed by a bridge. There is also a tarmac area adjoining the hall for disabled parking with ramp access and also for deliveries to the kitchen. The hall has a decking terrace on one long side overlooking the stream with wonderful views. Hiring fees - £8 per hour for short hire period. £20 per half day. £40 per day. Hire of Car-Park without use of hall £5 per hour. Discount available for regular users - 6+ bookings = 10%. Heating is by coin meter. It has been dismantled by the South West Airfields Heritage Trust and will hopefully find a home again at Dunkeswell housing 2WW artefacts.

From A35 Honiton - Axminster road - take any turning signposted Umborne. Keep following signs for Umborne and you will come under railway arch. Keep following signs for Umborne and you will reach river bridge with T junction at Easy Bridge Cross. Turn right - hall is on your left after about 300ydsafter sharp left-hand bend . From Colyton - take road out over Chantry Bridge, turn right at Road Green. At 3 Sycamore Cross turn right. At Lillylake Farm keep straight on. At Pottlelake Cross turn right - after c. 1/4 mile you will reach hall on your right hand side. There are other roads that will take you to the hall - rather too many to list here!
